Strasbourg au Fil de l'Eau
Batorama offers in Strasbourg a boat tour of the city on the Ill, which surrounds the Grande Île, the historic heart of the Alsatian capital. The classic circuit lasts about seventy minutes, all year round, with commentary available in twelve languages.
The route passes notably through the Petite France, the former district of tanners and millers with half-timbered houses, the Neustadt, the German quarter built at the end of the nineteenth century, and the area of the European institutions.
The company also offers other options, such as the "Strasbourg-sur-Mer" circuit, a guided tour in French of about two hours devoted to the Port autonome de Strasbourg, and the hire of a privatised electric boat with skipper. The city's link with its canals and its river port, one of the most important on the Rhine, sheds light on this way of discovering it.
