Point Sublime

Lozère, Occitanie

At 870 m altitude, the classified site of the "Point Sublime" is one of the most visited places in the Tarn gorges. Located on the Causse de Sauveterre, the Point Sublime is a belvedere that offers visitors the spectacle of these marvellous ochre cliffs plunging into the emerald waters of the Tarn. At the foot, more than four hundred metres below, the Tarn makes a right-angle bend and this "caprice" lets the visitor take in the gorges in file, both east and south. Opposite, the steep ledges of the Causse Méjean give the final touch to the character of the place and complete this magnificent picture worthy of the greatest artists.
