The Vaulx-en-Velin planetarium, in Greater Lyon, in the Rhône, opened in 1995. This cultural venue devoted to astronomy welcomes all audiences: children, families, adults, beginners and enthusiasts.

Comfortably settled in a reclining seat, visitors plunge into the mysteries of the universe, watching the sky and its constellations. The astronomical simulator offers a virtual journey into celestial phenomena, with 3D computer images projected onto a giant hemispherical dome for total immersion in the cosmos.
