Petite Camargue alsacienne
This marsh, relic and witness of the Rhine jungle, was classified by a Conseil d'État decree, to become the first protected nature reserve of Alsace. This remarkable site of more than 200 hectares is managed by an association made up of nature defenders, naturalists, scientists and elected officials. A team of professionals ensures daily management. The Petite Camargue Alsacienne is open to the public all year round and easily accessible by car, train, bus, bicycle and on foot. Every day of the week you can walk the marked paths, let yourself be overwhelmed by the wonders of nature and stop at the many observatories that dot the routes. Employees maintain the site by carrying out works as part of a management plan.
