Parc de la Reynerie
Parc de la Reynerie is a French-style public garden of about two hectares, in the Mirail district, in Toulouse, around the château de la Reynerie. The estate was laid out in the late eighteenth century, around 1790, for Guillaume Dubarry, who had a pleasure residence built surrounded by a regular park.
The site consists of a large ordered garden with paths, lawns and perspectives, and a folly, a pleasure pavilion that houses a rotunda and a marble vestibule. The château and park are protected as historic monuments, a measure taken at the time of the creation of the Mirail housing development to preserve the estate amid the buildings.
The park is today a walking space with free access. It is on the list of remarkable gardens of France. Its lower part was renovated by the City of Toulouse.
