Océarium du Croisic
The Océarium du Croisic, in the Loire-Atlantique, is an aquarium devoted to the ocean on the Guérande peninsula. The route is organised in themed tanks, from the Loire estuary to tropical seas, and brings together several thousand marine animals.
Its central feature is an underwater tunnel about ten metres long, which lets you see sharks and fish very close up. Jellyfish have a dedicated space, and an immersive room offers a 360° journey through the oceans. Penguins are among the animals most liked by the public.
Activities punctuate the day: penguin feeding, presentations devoted to sharks and turtles. The venue is suited to pushchairs and families.
The visit lasts about an hour and a half and suits children as well as school groups, who discover there the diversity of marine life and the ecosystems of the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific.
