Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Nantes
The Natural History Museum of Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique, is a place full of history with extraordinary collections of zoology, botany, geology and mineralogy, together with a vivarium devoted to regional and exotic snakes. It attracts more than 100,000 visitors a year.
Caring for a heritage that has grown since the end of the 18th century, the museum offers a constantly renewed programme of temporary exhibitions, talks, events and encounters between art and science. It places visitors at the heart of current debates on science in society and the challenges facing the planet, such as biodiversity protection and climate change.
