Musée Vesunna
The Vesunna site-museum presents the Roman origins of Périgueux on the remains of a large Gallo-Roman house, the domus of Vésone. Exceptional archaeological collections tell the story of the ancient town and the way of life of its inhabitants, the Petrocorii. From the mezzanines, a spectacular view opens over the remains and the surrounding park. Outside, in the park, rises the imposing Tour de Vésone, a remnant of a temple of the goddess Vesunna. Nearby, the Jardin des Arènes reveals the ruins of the amphitheatre.
