Musée Picasso
Housed in the Hôtel Salé, a 17th-century mansion in the Marais in Paris, the Musée Picasso Paris is the French national museum devoted to the life and work of Pablo Picasso and to the artists close to him.
Opened in 1985, it holds more than 5,000 works (paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics and prints) from the gift by the artist's family, as well as tens of thousands of archive items. This exceptional collection makes it possible to follow Picasso's whole creative journey, from Fauvism to Cubism and beyond.
