Musée Carnavalet
The Musée Carnavalet is the Paris municipal museum devoted to the history of Paris from the origins of the city to the present day. Located in the Marais district at 23, rue de Sévigné, in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, it presents exceptional collections: souvenirs of the French Revolution, paintings, sculptures, furniture and objets d'art. It has been directed since 1993 by Jean-Marc Léri. The museum is made up of the Hôtel de Carnavalet and the Hôtel Le Peletier de Saint-Fargeau linked by a gallery on the first floor. It is one of the 14 Museums of the City of Paris managed since 1 January 2013 by the public administrative body Paris Musées.
