Musée de Cluny

Paris, Île-de-France

The Musée de Cluny, officially the Musée national du Moyen Âge – Thermes et hôtel de Cluny, is in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, in the heart of the Latin Quarter, at 6 place Paul-Painlevé, along rue Du Sommerard, in a fifteenth-century townhouse, the Hôtel de Cluny, and in the adjoining Cluny Baths. It holds one of the most important collections in the world of objects and works of art of the medieval period.

The museum is housed in a fifteenth-century townhouse whose origins go back to the thirteenth century. Its main entrance is on place Paul-Painlevé, facing the Sorbonne.
