Musée des beaux-arts de Rennes
In the heart of Rennes, in the former nineteenth-century university palace, the Rennes Fine Arts Museum benefited from revolutionary seizures and keeps part of the prestigious cabinet of curiosities of Christophe-Paul de Robien (1698–1756), president of the Parliament of Brittany. It now presents works representative of the great artistic movements from the Renaissance to contemporary art. Its seventeenth-century masterpieces, such as Georges de La Tour's The Newborn or Rubens's Tiger Hunt, are known worldwide.
