Château de Blossac
The Château de Blossac is a 17th-century château in the commune of Goven, in the Ille-et-Vilaine, 11 kilometres south-west of central Rennes. In the 12th century its land belonged to the lord of Bélozac, whose name, in altered form, has stayed attached to the place.
It was built to replace an old manor, altered in the 15th century, of which some remains survive. It follows a traditional plan, its only architectural peculiarity being two hollow towers. The façade has two projecting pavilions and a corbelled cornice. The château can be seen as part of a tour of the area around Rennes.
