Espace des sciences
The Espace des Sciences is the centre for scientific, technical and industrial culture of Rennes and Brittany. It is housed in Les Champs Libres, at 10 cours des Alliés, a building it shares with the Musée de Bretagne and the library.
All year round it offers a temporary exhibition, the Merlin Laboratory for younger children, a planetarium and a lecture hall, all accessible to people with reduced mobility. Former permanent exhibitions, such as the one on Armorican rocks in the Earth room, have been renewed around new themes such as biodiversity.
The programme includes exhibitions, lectures, planetarium shows and events. The Espace des Sciences also designs touring exhibitions and educational activities for schools and the general public.
Children under 5 are not admitted to the planetarium and those under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are sold online or on site in the Champs Libres hall.
