Musée de la mine Marcel-Maulini
Mining began at Ronchamp, in the Haute-Saône, in the mid-18th century. For two centuries, from galleries to shafts, through firedamp explosions and labour disputes, men brought coal torn from the rock to the surface, until it all stopped in 1958.
The collections were carefully gathered by Dr Marcel Maulini, a former doctor of the Ronchamp mines. The museum presents work in the mine, social life, and the techniques and tools used at Ronchamp.
