Musée d'art et d'histoire d'Orange
The Museum of Art and History of Orange, in the Vaucluse, is housed in the mansion built in the 17th century for Georges Van Cuyl. This Dutchman was in charge of munitions at the castle of the princes of Orange, which stood on top of the Saint-Eutrope hill above the theatre.
The mansion has kept its original staircase, windows, French-style ceilings and a gypsum fireplace. It now houses a rich collection of furniture and works of art and traces the history of Orange from Antiquity to the 19th century.
