Les Oiseaux du Marais Poitevin
This seven-hectare park of wild marshland, in the heart of the Marais poitevin, also known as the Green Venice, in the Deux-Sèvres, introduces more than 70 bird species that frequent the marsh, as well as the distinctive vegetation of this wetland. At the end of the visit, a film flies over the region's landscapes and explains the life of the birds.
The Marais poitevin extends over the Vendée, the Deux-Sèvres and the Charente-Maritime. With the Bay of Aiguillon, it covers about 110,000 hectares, making it the second-largest wetland in France after the Camargue.
