Les Monts de Lacaune
The Monts de Lacaune, in the Tarn, offer streams, rivers and lakes ideal for fishing, water sports and walking, amid broad upland landscapes.
The area is known for its statue-menhirs, large engraved and carved stones that bear witness to a past still shrouded in mystery. A former spa town, Lacaune still produces Mont-Roucous spring water, drawn from the heart of the forest. In the town, the Fontaine des Pisseurs, an unusual sculpture, recalls the water's diuretic properties.
