Parc Rochegude

Tarn, Occitanie

The Parc Rochegude, at Albi in the Tarn, labelled 'Jardin Remarquable', was created at the end of the 18th century. Laid out on two levels, it was originally organised around a classical French formal park; later an English-style garden was created below.

Small themed gardens can also be discovered in spring: the demonstration garden, the shade garden and the rose garden. Romantic statues inspired by women stand among the beds. Small signs throughout the park present the species, and there are enclosures for the resident animals, such as ducks and geese.
