Centre d'art Le LAIT

Tarn, Occitanie

Le Lait is a contemporary art centre in Albi, in the Tarn, at 5 Rue de l'École Normale. It occupies the former Camille Claudel school, a restored building with four exhibition rooms, a reception area, a workshop and a garden.

The centre presents several exhibitions of contemporary artists each year. In 2026 the programme featured Jean-Charles Massera, an artist and writer whose work combines film, installation, photography, drawing and writing, followed by Isabelle Giovacchini, with photographs of the archaeological site of Lake Nemi, cradle of the cult of Diana.

It also offers talks, workshops and guided tours, and takes part in events such as the Night of Museums. It has held the national label of contemporary art centre of national interest, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, since 2019.
