Les Gorges du Fier
The Lovagny region, with its famous GORGES DU FIER, offers tourists attractions that contrast strangely with the luminous splendours of the shores of Lake Annecy. The Gorges du Fier, 300 metres long and 60 metres deep, surpass the most renowned gorges in picturesque quality and striking grandeur. They are ranked as one of the greatest curiosities of the Alps.
Inside these gorges, you can admire a giant's kettle. At the exit of the gorges, you are struck by the sight of the Sea of Rocks, a labyrinth through which the Fier has painfully made its way.
Perfectly built galleries let you peer, without the slightest danger, into the depths of the abysses where the foaming, moaning Fier rolls.
