Les Ateliers de l'Abeille

Les Ateliers de l'Abeille are set at Chavignon, in the Aisne, halfway between Soissons and Laon. It is a family beekeeping farm, run by a fourth-generation beekeeper, with more than a thousand hives, which welcomes each year about 10,000 visitors wishing to discover beekeeping.

The playful visit plunges into the life of the hive: you follow the queen's procession and her court, learn to decipher the rites and customs of the colony, then take part in a celebration of the "divine nectar". It ends with a tasting of honey and mead produced on site. A shop offers hive products.

The site, aimed at families, groups and nature lovers, took part in Api'Week in October 2026, with a visit followed by a tasting and a honey fair.
