La cascade du Saut de Vieyres
The Saut de Vieyres is a waterfall in the north of the Lot, in the area of Lamativie and the hamlet of Vieyres, in the Quercy part of the Haute-Dordogne, not far from the Cère valley.
Access is on foot. A route starts from Lamativie station and follows the GR 652 westward, with the possibility of parking along the way for the first kilometre. After a bridge over a canal, a side path leads to the falls. A stretch near the basin is fitted with a rope, which calls for a little care.
A circuit from the hamlet of Vieyres, appreciated for its traditional buildings, also lets you discover the Hermit's cave, its viewpoint and the waterfall. The whole offers a walk in a landscape of wooded valleys with lively waters.
