L'Adresse Musée de la Poste

Paris, Île-de-France

The Musée de La Poste, created in 1946, is the company museum of La Poste, devoted to French postal history and philately. It has had two sites in Paris and has been since 1973 at 34 boulevard de Vaugirard, in the 15th arrondissement. It bears the "Musée de France" label. According to a 2026 source, it is said to have taken back, for its 80th anniversary, its original name of Musée Postal, after being called L'Adresse Musée de La Poste.

The building underwent major renovation work between 2015 and 2019, and has offered since a redesigned visit route. The collections trace the evolution of the means of communication: mail, postal transport, letterboxes, uniforms, stamps, postmarks and everyday objects of postmen. The museum tells how mail delivery evolved from the Ancien Régime to the contemporary era.

It will interest enthusiasts of philately, social history and industrial heritage, as well as families. Temporary exhibitions complete the permanent route.
