Le Musée de l'Armée
Housed in the halls around the main courtyard of Les Invalides, in Paris, the Musée de l'Armée presents one of the richest collections in the world devoted to military art and history.
The great moments of the nation are recalled through emblematic objects: the armour of François I, the cannonball that killed Turenne, the flag of the Farewell at Fontainebleau, Napoleon's reconstructed room on Saint Helena and a Marne taxi are among the historic items that make the museum a true place of memory.
