The Palais de la Découverte, in Paris, presents fundamental and contemporary science in a lively way through interactive experiments. Astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and earth sciences are approached in a playful and educational manner.

The science museum has been housed since 1937 in the west wing of the Grand Palais, in the 8th arrondissement. Its mission is to present the astronomical, biological, chemical, geological, medical, mathematical and physical sciences through educational demonstrations and exhibitions.
