Domrémy, le pays de Jeanne

Vosges, Grand Est

The Domrémy-la-Pucelle site is one of the major tourist hubs of the western Vosges, interacting with the other historic sites of the area. A major programme to enhance the site has been under way since 1991, at the instigation of the Conseil Général.

Beside the birth house of Joan of Arc, a place of discretion and silence, the Interpretation Centre and its permanent show "Visages de Jeanne" lead visitors into a world of images, sounds and light, to discover the medieval world and seek the many faces of Joan.

The approach chosen was to offer visitors, in the permanent exhibition, a route and not a museum visit. A photographic itinerary through landscapes, a path of authors and texts.
