Chute de la Druise

Drôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Druise Fall is a waterfall 72 metres high, in the Drôme, on the boundary of the communes of Omblèze and Plan-de-Baix. It lies at the exit of the Omblèze gorges, in the south of the Vercors massif, and is said to be one of the most impressive waterfalls in this part of the massif.

To reach it, take the road of the Omblèze gorges from Plan-de-Baix, follow it to the Moulin de la Pipe fork, then a small road for about a kilometre. The trip ends on foot by a slightly steep path of about 30 minutes each way, which descends to a pool of green, transparent water. The setting is a steep-sided hollow at the foot of limestone walls, ideal for a quiet family walk.
