Château du Wasigenstein
The Château du Wasigenstein stands at 350 metres, near Obersteinbach in the Bas-Rhin, on two rocks separated by a deep cleft. It actually consists of two castles: Old Wasigenstein to the east and New Wasigenstein to the west.
The site is dizzying, and the steps cut into the rock gradually draw visitors into the romantic world of the castles of northern Alsace, linked to the legend of the Nibelungs.
