Château de Pange
The Château de Pange is an 18th-century building on the banks of the French Nied, at Pange in the Moselle. Built in 1720 by Jean-Baptiste Thomas, Marquis de Pange, on the site of an old fortress, it is typical of classicism, with a central block under a triangular pediment flanked by two pavilions framing the façade on the Nied. A small mid-19th-century church stands next to it.
The Pange family still lives here, and busts, paintings and engravings recall its history. This sober, elegant château can be visited in a peaceful setting of water and greenery, in Lorraine.
