Château de Montespieu
The Château de Montespieu is a neo-medieval fortress at Navès, in the Tarn. Built on foundations dating back to the 12th century, it was entirely rebuilt in the 16th century, remodelled in the 17th and restored in 1900. It has been registered as a historic monument since 1992.
It is a large rectangle with the features of a neo-medieval fortress and seven towers: three on the main building and the others on the wings. It stands in the landscape of the Montagne Noire, near Mazamet and Castres, and can be admired from outside along with the surrounding scenery.
