Château de Magrin
Listed as a historic monument, the Château de Magrin, in the Tarn, built in the 11th, 16th and 18th centuries, overlooks the plain of the Lauragais and the Albigeois. Henry IV is said to have taken refuge here in 1585, in the middle of the Wars of Religion.
The château houses the Musée du Pastel en Pays de Cocagne, on four levels, with medieval rooms, exhibitions and woad and indigo plants. It also has two particularly rare curiosities: an authentic drying room for woad balls ('cocagnes') and a superb woad mill.
