Château de Langeais

Indre-et-Loire, Centre-Val de Loire

In Touraine, on the banks of the Loire, the château de Langeais dates from the late Middle Ages with its wall-walk, drawbridge and imposing towers. The château de Langeais is in the Centre-Val de Loire region, on the borders of Anjou and Touraine. The château de Langeais presents two exceptional castles: the tower of Fulk Nerra and the castle of Louis XI. The first has the distinction of being the oldest keep in France while the second is two-faced, feudal on the town side and Renaissance-inspired on the courtyard side.
