Château de Kermadio

The Château de Kermadio is a late 18th-century château at Pluneret, in the Morbihan, not far from the Gulf. It is a large building framed by two square towers topped by massive roofs with dormers on the outer faces. On the façade, a superb staircase with an ornate wrought-iron banister unfolds.

Its most famous guest was the Countess of Ségur, who drew on it for some of her books, such as Les Malheurs de Sophie, Jean qui grogne et Jean qui rit and Après la pluie, le beau temps. It is not open to visitors.
