Château de Kerguéhennec

Morbihan, Bretagne

The Château de Kerguéhennec, nicknamed the 'Breton Versailles', is an 18th-century château at Bignan, about twenty kilometres north of Vannes, in the Morbihan. Owned by the département since 1972, it has been listed and registered as a historic monument since 1988. The estate covers 175 hectares.

It now houses a contemporary art centre and a cultural meeting centre. Its sculpture park, a rare French example of its kind, is among the most important in Europe, with monumental works set in the French formal park, among lawns, lakes and woods. The visit combines well with a walk on the estate.
