Cascade Sidonie

Haute-Garonne, Occitanie

The Sidonie waterfall is at Saint-Mamet, a village in the Luchon valley, in the Haute-Garonne, on the road up to the Col du Portillon, on the Spanish border. It is reached by a short family walk waymarked in yellow, starting from a car park at the entrance to Saint-Mamet, returning by the same path.

Fed by mountain water, its flow varies with the seasons and is strongest in spring. The path crosses beech woods and torrents and can be combined with other routes in the area, including the GR10. The site is popular with walkers and known to cyclists for the steep Portillon road nearby.
