Cascade de Cornillou

Cornillou is a hamlet in the Cantal about seven kilometres from Condat, on the road leading towards Bort. The stream that passes there rushes down a wooded valley and forms a succession of waterfalls in the middle of the forest, in a cool and preserved setting. The site is mainly known to canyoning enthusiasts: a supervised descent of the Cornillou canyon is offered there by professionals, with jumps, natural slides and swimming passages. Walkers can also appreciate the natural setting of the surroundings. The water level changes strongly with seasons and rain, which alters access and safety. It is therefore prudent to check with the local tourist office before leaving.
