Argentomagus
The Argentomagus museum, at Saint-Marcel in the Indre, is built directly on the ancient site. It offers a journey of more than a million years, from prehistory to the end of the Roman period.
A walk among the ruins of the town brings two thousand years of history within reach. A Roman garden completes the visit: its hundred and fifty or so species of aromatic, ornamental and medicinal plants recall daily life of the past and invite a peaceful stroll off the beaten track.
