Arche de Padule

Haute-Corse, Corse

The Padule arch, also called the Corte arch or Arcu di u Scandulaghju, is a natural granite arch at about 1,500 metres' altitude, above Corte, overlooking the Tavignano valley. It is reached on foot from Corte, first going up the Tavignano valley.

The climb is demanding: the route is marked with orange dots, but it has more than 1,000 metres of climbing in a rough mineral environment. This effort is rewarded by the view over Corte, the Tavignano valley and Monte Rotondo. Little visited, the arch is a goal for experienced hikers who like isolated sites.
