Aquarium de Vendée
The Vendée Aquarium, at Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, is a human-sized aquarium devoted to marine life. It gathers several thousand animals spread over about sixty tanks and several hundred species, presented through three worlds that evoke the different corners of the marine world.
Daily activities, such as fish feedings and times for discovering marine animals, let you observe the animals' behaviour and learn more from the keepers.
The visit particularly suits families and school groups. It lends itself as well to a rainy day as to a stay on the Vendée coast.
Located on Avenue de la Mine, not far from Les Sables-d'Olonne, the aquarium is accessible by car and linked to the region by the TER network, which makes the excursion easier.
