Sealand, l’Aquarium de Noirmoutier

Sealand, the Noirmoutier aquarium, was a private aquarium on the old port of Noirmoutier-en-l'Île, open to the public from 1983. It presented the fauna and flora of cold and tropical seas, as well as a sea lion show.

Its route of about 200 metres brought together some 200 species and a thousand animals, in 500,000 litres of seawater.

The aquarium closed permanently in early 2023, as no buyer could be found: the site can no longer be visited.
