Vélo Rail du Larzac
The Larzac vélorail is offered from the station of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon, in the Aveyron, on an old century-old railway that overlooks the Cernon valley. The activity is operated under the name "Sur les rails du Larzac" and offers several routes of different lengths, with electric-assist vélorails.
The line offers a fine heritage of railway engineering works, with many tunnels and several well-preserved viaducts. It gives views over the Cernon valley and over villages such as Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon, a former Templar commandery, Lapanouse-de-Cernon and the perched village of La Bastide-Pradines.
The activity is seasonal, from April to October according to the most recent information, and booking is advised. A tourist train completes the site's leisure offer, in the heart of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park.
