Saint Maurice sur Moselle
Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle is a commune in the Vosges at the foot of the Ballon d'Alsace, in the Vosges massif, near the source of the Moselle. On its heights, the Rouge Gazon resort is a small family resort at about 1,100 to 1,260 metres.
It offers a small alpine area with drag lifts and runs of different levels, a toboggan run, a children's area and a Nordic area of about twenty kilometres. Natural snow cover in this mid-mountain massif varies from season to season.
The resort has been taken over by a regional private group, which has announced development plans. Its opening for the current season could not be confirmed, so it is best to check the official Rouge Gazon website before going.
