Hautes-Mynes du Thillot
The Hautes-Mynes archaeological mining site lets you discover the former copper mines of Le Thillot, worked by the Dukes of Lorraine from 1560 to 1761.
The Maison des Hautes-Mynes is devoted to the history of the mines and their rediscovery through archaeology, with archives, period tools and equipment, reconstructed galleries and equipment, models and videos.
Two guided tours immerse you in the miners' world: dug galleries, drilling and pumping methods, and the mining landscape.
