Remontée de la rivière du Trieux
The Trieux river trip is a launch cruise following the river from its estuary, in the Côtes-d'Armor, to the Château de la Roche-Jagu. The Trieux is navigable for about 17 km, from the Pontrieux lock to the sea, through a landscape of wooded banks, mudflats and a deep valley.
Trips leave from Paimpol or from the Pointe de l'Arcouest at Ploubazlanec. The Vedettes de Bréhat and Le Passeur du Trieux land at the slipway near the château. The cruise lasts about four hours from Paimpol and includes a stop of an hour and a half to explore the château's hanging gardens and temporary exhibitions.
L'Arcouest is also the departure point for the island of Bréhat, about ten minutes away, a car-free island explored on foot or by bike. Trips depend on the tides and the season.
