Plage de l'Espiguette
L'Espiguette beach, at Le Grau-du-Roi, in the Gard, is one of the largest wild beaches of the French Mediterranean. It stretches over several kilometres of fine sand, bordered by dunes covered with marram grass and low vegetation, to the Espiguette lighthouse, which marks the tip of the Camargue coast.
The space is protected, very open and often windy. It suits walkers, families, bird lovers and long walks on the sand. Part of the beach is reserved for naturists. As facilities are limited, bring water, shade and sun protection.
