Parc Polaire
The Parc polaire, at Le Chaux-de-Gilley in the Doubs, is an unusual wildlife park, in a landscape reminiscent of the Far North. Visitors do not stay behind a fence: they go out to meet red deer, reindeer, yaks, mouflon, chamois, fallow deer, European bison and tarpan horses.
The visit, which in places feels like a walk in the wild, is always with a guide. The keepers explain the history and origins of these animals of Eurasian wildlife.
