Parc animalier de Gramat

The Gramat Wildlife Park is a zoological park of more than forty hectares, opened in 1980 in the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park, in the Lot. It is near two major tourist sites of the département, the town of Rocamadour and the Padirac chasm.

It is devoted to European fauna, wild and domestic: wolves, bears, lynx, otters, bison and many deer move in vast enclosures laid out along a walking circuit of several kilometres. The park takes part in safeguarding threatened old breeds, with several conservatories, notably for the Heck aurochs and the pottok, and some animals fall under conservation programmes for threatened species.

School visits by booking cover different themes, such as carnivores, the food chain or prehistory. Allow two to three hours for the visit.
