Musée René Baubérot

The René-Baubérot museum, at Châteauponsac in the Haute-Vienne, is housed in a former 14th-century priory.

Its 25 rooms bring back daily life in the Limousin at the end of the 19th century, through recreated interiors. The museum also covers prehistory, Roman Gaul and the Middle Ages, with varied and carefully presented archaeological and mineral exhibitions that appeal to a wide audience.
