Musée des Tramways (MTVS)
The Musée des Tramways à Vapeur et des chemins de fer Secondaires français (MTVS) holds one of the largest and most varied collections of rolling stock from the old secondary railways that served the French countryside from 1880 to 1970.
About 80 historic vehicles from 34 départements are preserved here. Some twenty have been restored to working order and others to display condition; 34 vehicles are protected as historic monuments, in recognition of the work of the association's volunteers.
The museum is at Valmondois station, in Butry-sur-Oise, in the Val-d'Oise. It opens on Sundays and public holidays in season, and short rides on a 19th-century historic train are offered on certain Sundays.
